How to Install WordPress in cPanel

There are many ways to install WordPress, but one of most common ways is to install WordPress from within the cPanel dashboard found in your web hosting account. As outlined below, installing WordPress from within cPanel is easy and within 5-10 minutes you can start enjoying all of the wonderful features that this blogging platform has to offer, including useful plugins, stylish themes, and more.

The benefits of using cPanel

One of the main benefits of using cPanel, is that this method doesn't require the installation of any additional software or plugins. Most hosting companies offer Softaculous, Fantastico, and/or QuickInstall. These preinstalled software managers allow you to install WordPress and a large amount of other software titles with ease.

Please keep in mind that the steps outlined below may be slightly different from the version installed on your web hosting server.

Before installing anything, we highly recommend that you perform a full backup of your entire blog or website. In fact, it's always a smart idea to keep regular backups of your entire blog or website, just in case the unexpected happens.

Using cPanel and Softaculous

1. As mentioned above, backup your entire blog or website before installing anything.

2. First, log into your web hosting cPanel dashboard.

3. Scroll down to a section called "AutoInstallers".

4. Click on the icon called "Softaculous" or "WordPress".

5. Next, the installer will prompt you to enter the details of your new WordPress installation.

6. After carefully entering all of the required details for your new installation, click on the "Install" button.

7. At this point, Softaculous will display a progress bar with percentage indicating the progress. The setup process will take 3-5 minutes to complete.

8. Finally, once Softaculous has finished installing WordPress, it will say "Congratulations, the software was installed successfully".

Using cPanel and Fantastico

1. As mentioned above, backup your entire blog or website before installing anything.

2. First, log into your web hosting cPanel dashboard.

3. Scroll down to a section called "Software".

4. Click on the icon called "Fantastico" or "WordPress".

5. On the left side, there should be a list of software to install, scroll down and click on "WordPress".

6. Review the "Requirements" section and click on the button called "Install WordPress".

7. After carefully entering all of the required details for your new installation, click on the "Submit" button.

8. At this point, Fantastico will display the setup progress. The setup process will take 3-5 minutes to complete.

9. Finally, once Fantastico has finished installing WordPress, it will say "Installation Complete".

Using cPanel and QuickInstall

1. As mentioned above, backup your entire blog or website before installing anything.

2. First, log into your web hosting cPanel dashboard.

3. Scroll down to a section called "Software".

4. Click on the icon called "QuickInstall" or "WordPress".

5. Under the section called "Site Builders & CMS", click on "WordPress".

6. Next, click on the button called "Install WordPress".

7. After carefully entering all of the required details for your new installation, click on the "Install" button.

8. At this point, QuickInstall will display the setup progress. The setup process will take 3-5 minutes to complete.

9. Finally, once QuickInstall has finished installing WordPress, it will say "Installation Complete".
